My "primary" holster varies depending one what I'm wearing & what I'm carrying. The two holsters I use most are a Kirkpatrick 'Texas Crossdraw' and a CAA fanny pack holster. My two primary carry guns are a Ruger P89 with CTC Lasergrips & XS 24/7 Big Dot Sights and a Kimber Custom TLE/RL II with Pro-Series burlwood finished lasergrips & a Streamlight TLR-1 weaponlight. When I'm going out at night, and my fanny pack just won't fit with what I'm wearing, I use a Blade-Tech custom strongside OWB holster that carries my Kimber with the weaponlight mounted.

Either way I also have a Kel-Tec P-3AT with a CTC Laserguard tucked into my hip pocket in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster.

The fanny pack is nice because it will easily carry either handgun, and the Kimber fits just fine with the Streamlight mounted to it. It also carries my spare mags, flashlight, Pepper Blaster, Gerber Multiplier, Kershaw Blur, wallet, keys, etc.... And yes, I've heard all of the "if you wear a fanny pack everyone will know you have a gun" arguments. I don't buy it. The average person sees a fanny pack holster as just another fanny pack. Some other CCW holders might notice, maybe, but no one else will. It's the same deal as with a 5.11 or Sig Tac vest. We know what they are, few others do. As long as you don't wear them with hats and/or T-shirts sporting NRA or gun company logos like you're on your way to an IDPA match, nobody's going to notice. That's especially true when you're actually using all those pockets for things like you wallet & keys or if you're in a wheelchair like I am!

I don't see any comments on the High Noon Holsters so let me weigh in. I've taught CCW classes in Louisiana since '96 and have used several brands of holsters and different calibers and makes of pistols. For the past 3 years I've carried an H&K P30 [9mm Lugar] with the High Noon "personal secret" leather IWB - have had zero problems or complaints. Six months ago I had an opportunity to buy a Kimber 'UL TRA+CDP II [45APC] and went back to the High Noon "personal secret" and like the choice. I give 'High Marks' to High Noon.

If I feel the need to go 'deep concealment' I'll use the "SmartCarry" - a belly band type holster w/spare mag slot. The ONLY thing I don't like about it is the difficulty in reholstering. Otherwise it can be worn with almost everything but a swimsuit.

PS: I carry anytime, everytime I am dressed, even at home - and at my Church services. [Yes, in Louisiana one can carry concealed on Church property and during the service if you follow the guide lines.]

i have been carrying my glcok 27 in a appendix carry position for a long time and finally found a holster i really like for appendix carry, it is the clipper from alabama holster company, easy on and off and very secure it snaps into place and the gun will not fall out when i bend over or run, jump or anything like that. it is the best appendix carry holster i have found. i used to use a supertuck deluxe in about the 4 o clock position when i was going to carry for a long time but i gave it a buddy of mine since i got the clipper holsters from AHC! i carry a spare clock 23 mag in my front left pocket in a pocket mag pouch made by the same company as the holster! it is just an awsome combo that i will be using for a long time! any new carry guns i get will get the same holster mag pouch combo!!

I have a Springfield Armory XD 9M with a light/laser combo. This makes it very difficult to find a holster that will accomodate such a combination. Anyone else with this problem that has found a holster solution?

I have recently made a switch that I am pleased with.
From a milt sparks VM II IWB with a leather belt to a Dale Fricke Archangel AIWB and a 5 stitch instructor belt.

I carry a glock 21 with a short grip and AIWB conceals the gun very well. The kydex is just as comfortable as the leather and I tried several crossbreedish holsters when I made the switch. I found that the stability of the archangel was fabulous compared to everything else out there. The gun is always in the right place and doesn't shift when I am active as it did with some of the other holster and loop combinations.

The kydex and nylon is also quiter than the leather. For a while it was sounding like i was on horse back with all the leather squeaking as I walked around.

The new Blade-Tech Razor IWB has really impressed me over the last few months. It is light, hugs the body well, does not collapse like a cheaper leather or nylon holster would (very important) and is very comfortable to wear throughout the day. It is much more durable than the IWB Nano they offer. I have had that holster crack on me twice. For around $70 the Razor IWB is a good investment.

I love my Kholster, it is absolutely the most comfortable holster I've ever worn. With it my full size 1911 just disappears under a t-shirt. I trimmed down most of the top half of the holster leaving just enough to provide a flap between me and the gun. Jimmy's service is also second to none, I'm on my second Kholster as my first one started to develop cracks in the Kydex, there were no questions asked and within less than a week I had a new one at my door - no charge.

I have a leather high ride holster for my Glock 22, made by GDS Leather. I love it I have had it for several years now and it just fits, not sure what else to say. I have worn a few holster in my years, I retired from the State Police and work at few P.D. and Sheriff's offices and have had to wear a few holsters that did not feel right or carry the weight of the gun right, but this one I like.

Kholster here too.
The crossbreed supertuck is popular also. But after hearing of a couple cracking on the local forum I think I would stick to my Kholster.

So far I have been happy with the Camptac MTAC. I havent been able to find a kydex belt holster that is as low profile as I would like. I end up with leather pancake holsters, for most of the firearms I carry. Being a smaller framed guy, doesn't help much.

I also use the Blackhawk Serpa. But for concealment, I'm very happy with the Supertuck by Crossbreed. I've purchased 2 in the last year, 1 for XD9 Sub compact (XDM9 also fits) and 1 for the S&W 642. I use the Hunter Pocket for my LCP. It looks & fits in my rear pocket like a leather wallet.
