I thought this might make for some informative and interesting discussion. It seems that everyone has a particular brand or style of concealment holster they prefer for daily carry. What kind of rig do you use most often? Belt, holster, and handgun?

I've been carrying my primary carry piece, a SW40GVE, in a IWB holster made by a St. Louis company called Kholster for the past year now and have been really happy with it since day one. I use a Wilderness Tactical Instructor 5-stitch belt to keep everything nice and secure to my person. Spare mags are usually riding in a Bianchi Accumold pouch, or sometimes a single mag will tag along alone in a left rear pocket.

I carry a Glock 30 in a Blade Tech ITWB holster for warmer weather, mags are typically in a pocket on the left, when I wear a jacket I will carry it on my belt using a Fobus holster and double mag pouch.

Charles - I have been seriously considering the purchase of a Blackhawk Serpa for winter carry (under a jacket or coat), or for general purpose carry around the property here. I have used one with a Glock and really like the way they work.

Good stuff, guys! Thanks for chiming in.

I've taken mine down to the martial arts school where I teach and invited some of the young buck MMA club guys to snatch a Blue Gun out of my Serpa. The rules are, I can try to squirm away using my footwork or turning my body but can't use my arms. I've had these tough young athletes jerk me around for 20-30 seconds and the Blue Gun has stayed in the holster every time I've tried it. That's pretty confidence inspiring.

Blackhawk Serpa. I do have a Galco Leather Holster that is a personal favorite but stick with Blackhawk most of the time.

I also use the Blackhawk Serpa. But for concealment, I'm very happy with the Supertuck by Crossbreed. I've purchased 2 in the last year, 1 for XD9 Sub compact (XDM9 also fits) and 1 for the S&W 642. I use the Hunter Pocket for my LCP. It looks & fits in my rear pocket like a leather wallet.

So far I have been happy with the Camptac MTAC. I havent been able to find a kydex belt holster that is as low profile as I would like. I end up with leather pancake holsters, for most of the firearms I carry. Being a smaller framed guy, doesn't help much.

    Kholster here too.
The crossbreed supertuck is popular also. But after hearing of a couple cracking on the local forum I think I would stick to my Kholster.

Tauris HighRider OWB (Mike Turisano, NY) holding a S&W 642 and Dade Speedloader in pocket. Have tried several holsters over the years and have finally found THE one for me. Semper-fi

Overall, I like Milt Sparks and Desbiens Gun Leather as they are reasonably priced and don’t take too long to receive. Most of the other boutique makers are just stupid expensive for my taste.

I have both the kholster and the cross breed, and I'm okay with both but I have learned to make my own using the same itmes (leather and kydex ) and have cut them so they seem to breath a little better so I use my own IWB holsters,

I have a leather high ride holster for my Glock 22, made by GDS Leather. I love it I have had it for several years now and it just fits, not sure what else to say. I have worn a few holster in my years, I retired from the State Police and work at few P.D. and Sheriff's offices and have had to wear a few holsters that did not feel right or carry the weight of the gun right, but this one I like.

I'm boring. Blade-tech's IWB is the most comfortable I've ever had (5" XD45).

I love my Kholster, it is absolutely the most comfortable holster I've ever worn. With it my full size 1911 just disappears under a t-shirt. I trimmed down most of the top half of the holster leaving just enough to provide a flap between me and the gun. Jimmy's service is also second to none, I'm on my second Kholster as my first one started to develop cracks in the Kydex, there were no questions asked and within less than a week I had a new one at my door - no charge.

After looking at all the options I went with a "Dual Carry" Holster from D.M. Bullard that I carry IWB. I also went with his IWB mag carrier.

The new Blade-Tech Razor IWB has really impressed me over the last few months. It is light, hugs the body well, does not collapse like a cheaper leather or nylon holster would (very important) and is very comfortable to wear throughout the day. It is much more durable than the IWB Nano they offer. I have had that holster crack on me twice. For around $70 the Razor IWB is a good investment.

I like the open-top pancake style, leather of course. The lateral support given by the belt slots make it stable and comfortable for all-day carry.

When I was mandated to carry a holster with "a retention device appropriate to the weapon" I chose an AKER FLATSIDER....best corporate holster ever.

I have recently made a switch that I am pleased with.
From a milt sparks VM II IWB with a leather belt to a Dale Fricke Archangel AIWB and a 5 stitch instructor belt.

I carry a glock 21 with a short grip and AIWB conceals the gun very well. The kydex is just as comfortable as the leather and I tried several crossbreedish holsters when I made the switch. I found that the stability of the archangel was fabulous compared to everything else out there. The gun is always in the right place and doesn't shift when I am active as it did with some of the other holster and loop combinations.

The kydex and nylon is also quiter than the leather. For a while it was sounding like i was on horse back with all the leather squeaking as I walked around.

I use the Shaggy AIWB from Custom Carry Concepts for my G19.

Extremely comfortable, secure, but fast to access.

For my Glock 19, I like an IWB Desantis B6. For my Kimber .45 CDP, I really like the Desatis cozy partner...I have had great luck with those.
