It has been a few years ago, but I used to go to the hospital surplus unit. It used to be that anything that was in a patient’s room and not used had to be discarded so it went to surplus. They let me have bandaging materials and other medical devices. I had so many C-collars that during a tornado response I supplied the ambulance service with them when they ran out.
That may be a route to obtain supplies for practice.

Another reliable, trustworthy source is North American Rescue. https://www.narescue.com/

Hi Rick. There are so many good sources of high quality medical and training supplies it’s impossible to list them all. The key is just making sure what you’re getting is high quality from a reliable source. A quick look at the Chinook Medical website it is obvious they are selling the high quality supplies one should be looking for when stocking their medical kits. If you’re happy with them there doesn’t seem to be any reason to recommend changing.
Thanks

I noticed you didn’t mention them as a source for supplies. Any thoughts?

Hello Gregory,

Your best bet would be putting together your own kit sourcing the items individually. Using Google and Amazon will allow you to put together a full range kit for a lot less than buying one already prepackaged. Also, when buying a prepackaged many times they won’t include a hemostatic agent or it will be an add on option (since this is one of the most expensive items). Here are some links to sources of full kits that are on the more reasonable end of the price spectrum.

Hope this helps,
