Should he have called 911 and waited for the cops, or some distance from the perpetrator start giving verbal commands before drawing, or enter the situation with the advantage of already having your gun drawn?

I agree. I often wrestle with this question of helping others. Right now, I conceal carry when i’m With my family or at my church to protect them. Right now, there is no one else i’d die for…either physicist or professionally. I don’t even carry when i’m alone. Again, that’s where I am right now. It might change in the future, but right now it helps me sleep to not have my weapon when my family is not around. I know i’d Be tempted to get involved and help ”make things right” and, ironically, that might put my family in danger.

My brother, as a teenager once jumped into a fight of a man beating a woman. Her pimp was beating her and when my brother stepped in, she turned on him knowing it would be worst for her later. When 2 of his buddies jumped in, they both left. I once stepped in between an old lady and a young man who appeared to be trying to steal her purse. We got commendations from the police and mayor for our actions. Turns out however, she intentionally fell on his bag and yelled out as a victim… he was just in the wrong place, wrong time, she was homeless and hungry. Things are not always what they seen
