Hi Steven.

The preferred/recommended method whenever possible is on-body strong side or appendix position. The ability to carry in one of these positions are affected by body type, daily dress, gun size, and as well as other factors. There is also the option of pocket carry as on-body but this position will be a slower presentation as well as require a smaller gun that can fit in a holster and in the pocket. Off-body carry is the least desirable option because it can have a difficult/slow presentation and can be easily separated from the owner. All that said, it boils down to picking one of these methods, training drawing from the holster, and ensuring a holster is used that meets the four criteria below.

The four criteria for picking a good holster.
1. Covers the trigger completely
2. Holds the firearm securely
3. Allows access when you need the pistol (allows for a full firing grip)
4. Prevents gun from changing position on body
Thanks
