Thoughts on importance of layered defense. Pepper spray, high lumen light, gun. Jumping right from verbal warning to lethal maybe avoided.

Here is the Book I mentioned during the Live broadcast: Andrew Branca "Law of Self Defense" 3rd Edition https://lawofselfdefense.com/book/.

I had the same concern as the earlier questioner i.e. how do you overcome the fear of carrying with a round in the chamber. I was given great advise and followed through with it. Carry the gun cocked but with NO round in the chamber for a period of two weeks. Carry in the fashion you intend to carry in "real" life. If the hammer never released during that real-life carry period, it certainly ups your confidence and relieves any fear you may have.

If I live in a state that has open carry, do I still need to be concerned about printing when I conceal carry?

I carry a BodyGuard .380 and usually keep the safety off while carrying. I use a pocket holster that covers the trigger. Are there additional dangers of carrying a gun like this with the safety off over a gun that has no factory safety - like my M&P 9mm.
