Pump shotgun length with pistol grip? 18.5" barrel, of course...

We're at another great booth here at the NRA Annual Meeting. Of course, this is the Blackhawk booth. They've got a bunch of great products, a bunch of great product lines. I've been working with Blackhawk on different projects for over a decade. Chris is here to tell us about the diversion bags. Chris, these are cool. Talk to me about what's going on. All right, thanks. It's basically what we've found is the Discreet was no longer discreet. We needed to go an extra level, both for the covert operator and for just everyday concealed carry and long gun transport people. More urbanization, people living in apartments, town homes, things like that. Or just wanting to be able to move their firearms around without drawing a lot of attention. So we came up with a line of products that looks more like an everyday item. Packs, sporting cases, things like that. So here you have a concealed carry based backpack. A standard backpack but you have access to, through the sides and also through the lumbar support, to a universal pistol holster. It's adjustable. Loop lines, so that you can put whatever kind of holster and accessories you want inside. This one was mostly driven by an ICE agent actually, during the RNC up in Minneapolis, asked for something where he was getting spotted with his tactical pack that he was kinda hiding stuff in. Right, right, right. So he asked for something more. This actually is a 29 inch case, so it'll fit SBRs, and it has a padded divider inside. It's styled after a skateboard pack. Right. So you got a basic backpack, PALS-lined, you can fit an SBR in it, or upper and lower receiver with a padded divider. Now this one over here is really pretty low profile here. Yeah. This was really the beginning of it, and it's how I've been carrying a gun around for years, a lot of people say the same thing. 29 inches, we just kicked it out a couple of inches longer than a tennis racquet bag, so it still looks like one. Right. Did the padded wall, so it hides it from printing, you don't see the fact that it's got a gun inside. But it'll fit under folder AK with a 16 inch barrel, side folder, SCAR 16S, it fits any of the short barrels really nice. AEC loves it for the blackout guns-- Sure, yeah, absolutely. Short barrels, they work great in there. And then also that padded divider for upper and lower receiver if you do have something bigger that you wanna hide inside it. Got it. Well, this is very cool stuff. Obviously you've got a bunch of other options. When you're carrying your gun around off-body in any kind of a bag, you still wanna keep it concealed, you still wanna make sure that you have that element of surprise, ability to defend yourself. You want it to be convenient, you want it to be secure, and purpose-built. You don't just wanna take a camera bag and stick a gun in it somewhere. This stuff is awesome. Chris, thank you very much for showing us. Absolutely. We'll be back with more clips from the NRA Annual Meeting 2013, in Houston, Texas.
