Century Arms AP5

The Century Arms AP5 (Apparatus Pistol) is a semi-automatic roller-lock delayed-blowback action firearm based and built off the original historic design from the 1970s. It’s the closest you can get to a 1-to-1 replica. The one modern upgrade is a Picatinny rail on top. A sling or brace can be added for more stability.

Since the Century Arms AP5 is not the original, you may wonder, how reliable is it? How does it run? Rob Pincus has had one for almost a year and can verify that it runs. It’s fast and easy to shoot. Rob likes to run it with a suppressor. Rob also stresses that apart from the collectible and fun aspects of this firearm, it is well suited to a home defense role.

Home defense is a major focus here at PDN. Browse our 1250+ videos and articles on the topic.
