CrossBreed Reckoning Holster

Duration:   2  mins

The CrossBreed Holsters Reckoning Holster is a hybrid leather and Kydex holster, as we might expect from CrossBreed. It can be worn IWB or OWB, and at the appendix, 4 o’clock, or 5 o’clock positions. Other adjustments are possible, including the retention and the height that the holster rides against the body. For IWB, the clips that hold the Reckoning in place float, making it more comfortable when the wearer is seated if the holster is worn in the appendix position.

A holster is a vital piece of defensive gear, and the Reckoning has everything you need in a holster plus a high degree of adjustability.

It's an inside or outside the waistband holster. Of course, it's a hybrid holster as you would expect from cross breed. And as you can see, I'm wearing it in the appendix position, but it also could be worn at the four or the five o'clock position. And again, each holster comes with clips that are set up to be inside the waistband, or you can add this hardware that comes in the package and make this an outside the waistband holster as well. Let's take a closer look here.

This particular one is set up for the Glock 48. I'm gonna put that down over there and you can see that we can adjust the retention. We can also adjust the height that this will ride inside or outside the waistband and these clips do float. Now, a lot of people say, well, why would I want that to float? Well, the reason you want it to float is if you're inside the waistband, especially in the appendix carry position when this gun cans a little bit, it makes it a lot more comfortable when you get into the seated position.

What that means is that the clips can be upright perfectly on your belt. But the holster can, can a little bit as the front of the leg in the here as you sit down, will push the muzzle over this way. And then when you stand back up, either adjustment or naturally, that will fall back down to a vertical position. So that's one of the reasons that you want these to be able to float. The reckoning holster has the typical high quality that you're gonna expect from cross breed.

And a lot of people look at these holsters and they say, you know, that's not the most positive retention holster, Rob. I'm not sure that I wanna trust this kind of holster. Remember when you're wearing the holster, it's very different from when you might be examining the holster or just trying to see how well the gun fits in it because your body is putting pressure back against this leather pad. And because the leather pad is obviously a lot softer than any of the plastic or the K, it's also a lot wider. It's gonna be more comfortable.

And that's why I've worn Cross Breed holsters for a number of years. I'm looking forward to spending some extended time with the reckoning. Again. It's an inside or outside the waistband holster that can be worn in the Appendix mission or very comfortably back at the four or five o'clock position for traditional concealed carry as well.
