All right, it's been a little over a week since our last update. This is update number nine from the Personal Defense Network Training Tour. The last place that I was training was Sioux falls, South Dakota. I came across South Dakota, down through Nebraska, and into Colorado. And I've spent the last week here in Leadville.

Now Leadville is a place that I train every year. This is a great range. In fact, I found out something about this range I didn't know this week. This range has actually been here continuously running since the 1800's. Now Leadville is an old mining town.

You might've seen the defensive firearms archeology episode that I put up on YouTube earlier this week from one of the abandoned mines. It's a great place to hang out. And I used to spend a lot of time in Colorado and believe me, when you come back up to 10,000 feet and you try to do fit shot, you notice really quick that there's less oxygen up here and it's something that you really have to take seriously. The training of course is why we're here. And that's what we were taken seriously.

We did a combat focus shooting, advanced pistol handling class. We also did a combat focused carving class. My host for this class was Phil McFall. Phil, why don't you step up here for a second? Phil runs high caliber consulting based right here in Leadville.

Now Phil and I have been training together for several years. Phil's gone through the combat focus shooting instructor development course, and you continue to host classes here even though you run your own business. And you're very busy. You're running a few classes a week. You work as an EMT.

You work as a reserve here with law enforcement. Talk to me a little bit about why you host classes and what you like about hosting classes. Information, tons of information here that, that I get from you, that my students also gather from you as well. And with that, it's just, this is just never ending. What would you say to somebody who is a regional instructor, who's very busy, has a successful business?

As far as bringing in maybe a national instructor or another instructor from another region, me or one of the other guys from the Personal Defense Network or any of the guys that spend their time traveling around and teaching, what advice do you have for them? It never stops. This industry is constantly evolving. What we were doing five years ago. we let that go.

We're constantly, constantly adopting. Evolving, learning from each other. And with that, become a better product. All right, well, listen, I appreciate you having me up here once again, Phil, always a pleasure to train with you. Thank you.

Phil actually jumped in the combat focused carving class. And he helped us out with a little emergency medical training that we actually simulated. That's going to be another video that you're going to see here online pretty soon. Right now we're going to hear from Mike Janich, one of our original Personal Defense Network contributors, one of my better friends, and a person you've seen on video, as well as the written article, let's hear from him right now. Hi, I'm Michael Janich.

I'm the founder and lead instructor of Marshall Blade Concepts and Counter Blade Concepts. I'm very proud to be associated with the Personal Defense Network and to have some of my seminars included in the 2012 PDN training tour. To me, the training tour really highlights the broad scope of training that is available to armed professionals and defense minded citizens. It also highlights PDNs commitment to sharing good information with its customers. So whether you're reading the articles on their website, looking at their DVDs, or looking at hands-on training through the PDN training tour and other training opportunities, it's clear that PDN is truly committed to giving you the information you need to keep yourself and your family safe.

Train hard, and stay safe. Get that gun to your chest, up. Up. Don't Look at it, fix it. Up.
