Shooting While in Contact Live-Fire Practice
Rob PincusOver the years, we’ve covered shooting while in contact from several different perspectives. Now Rob Pincus is on an outdoor range for a live-fire demonstration of shooting in contact from hip carry and appendix carry.
He focuses on the concepts of clear-control-counter before shooting, on the importance of visualizing this worst-case scenario while practicing, and on the positioning of the gun and your body to prevent a takeaway by the bad guy and to prevent muzzling yourself. For safety reasons, Rob recommends doing this with a training partner, or even doing it first in a firearms training class.
