Staged Position
Rob PincusRob Pincus discusses the staged position with a holstered defensive handgun. Many people think of the gun as either being in the holster and concealed or in the hand in an extended ready position, or even in the firing position. But Rob believes the staged position — when the gun is in the holster and the shooter has his hand on it — is appropriate for certain situations. These include in a home-defense situation when moving through the home looking for family members, and being in the public space during an active-shooter incident and not wanting to look like the bad guy.
