Walther® PPX Defensive Handgun

We're here at the NRA annual meeting, 2013. I'm standing here with Danny. Danny is the master gunsmith for Walther, and this is the PPX. Talk to me about the PPX, Danny. Okay, PPX is one of our new entry level guns. It's available in 9 millimeter and 40, in the black Tenifer finish, we're looking at a retail price about $449. And the stainless steel finish should be about $500. Okay. Now this is a double-action only gun? Double-action only. And it's obviously a double stack magazine. Double stack magazine. Probably got the lightest double-action only trigger pull on the market, about 4 pounds, 12 ounces. Now, we've had one of our instructors in the combat focus shooting program, Tyler Grant, working with one of these as a demo gun, and he's given me nothing but positive reviews. I'm looking forward to getting out on the range with it. You say I can expect a smooth trigger. The other thing I notice is very intuitive and ergonomic magazine release. Yes All the buttons seem to be in the right place. What else can you tell me about the way this gun is set up? Okay, we got - we got the standard magazine release, then this is our slide stop, and this is your takedown lever. Four-inch barrel. And we can set this up to be reverse? This can actually be set up for left-handed. It can be set for left-handed On the magazine release. All right, great. Well, of course this is a hammer-fired gun. It's double action only, but this is supposed to be very much like a striker-fired gun in the way it feels, the way it behaves. Of course, we expect reliability from Walther.
