William Aprill

William Aprill is a career mental-health professional with over 20 years’ experience across the continuum of clinical care. He maintains a private practice and consultancy specializing in post-traumatic interventions and other disciplines. A former deputy sheriff (Orleans Parish, LA, Criminal Sheriff’s Office) and Special Deputy US Marshal (Eastern District of Louisiana), he is a decorated competitive shooter and has taught civilian, law enforcement, and military personnel in various fighting skills since 1990. William has presented his material on violent criminals and their decision-making, defensive incident aftermath, mindset development, and self-protection preparedness to audiences in over 30 states. He is one of the expert contributors featured in the highly acclaimed Outdoor Network series Best Defense. He authored a chapter on violent criminals in Massad Ayoob’s anthology Straight Talk on Armed Defense: What the Experts Want You To Know, and is the subject of two Personal Defense Network DVDs of his original training material on defensive decision-making and mindset development, Violent Criminal Actors and The 5W’s of Personal Defense.

Steve Aryan

Steve Aryan entered the personal security industry in 2005, transitioning to executive protection after five years. In 2010, he assumed the role of an instructor at the US Shooting Academy (USSA), where training encompassed civilians, law enforcement, and various military units, including SEALS. By 2012, Steve departed USSA as the director of training to establish his own company, ""GreyFox Industries,"" while also returning to the security industry. In 2013, Steve started teaching the inaugural Long Range hunting classes under the guidance of Greg Ray. Currently, Steve serves as a full-time contractor for the Department of State, working in various regions such as Africa, Central America, Afghanistan, and presently in Iraq. He is the driving force behind the instructor cadre and curriculum at Outdoor Solutions Shooting Schools.

Tony Blauer

Tony Blauer began his journey in self-defense back in 1980. He stands out as one of the rare Combatives experts to have made a significant impact on training across various combat-related domains, including self-defense, combat sports, and the military and law enforcement sector. His extensive research into the interplay of physiology and mindset in the context of confrontation management has influenced reality-based martial artists for over three decades, ultimately enhancing the survival skills of law enforcement, military, and emergency services personnel worldwide. Tony's unwavering commitment to empirical research into the psychology of human confrontations culminated in the development of The SPEAR System in 1988. He subsequently began instructing law enforcement and military personnel in the System in 1993.

Omari Broussard

Omari Broussard is the founder and director of training at 10X Defense in Menifee, California. He is also a lead Combat Focus Shooting instructor and adjunct instructor for I.C.E. Training Company. He carries certifications from I.C.E. Training, CrossFit, Blauer Tactical Systems, the National Rifle Association, and the U.S. Navy. Omari has led and designed training programs in Maritime Interdiction Operations for various U.S. Navy Visit, Board, Search and Seizure Teams. He has extensive experience training military, law enforcement, security professionals, and private citizens in combatives and defensive shooting. He continues to work with armed professionals and private citizens as an instructor and consultant. As a founding member of the Association of Defensive Shooting Instructors, he hopes to make valuable contributions to the future of the firearms training industry.

Cecil Burch

Cecil Burch has been pursuing his passion for Martial Arts since he was 16. He has trained in a number of fighting methods and held teaching certifications in such diverse arts as Jeet Kune Do, Savate and Muay Thai. He is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Megaton Dias. He was also one of the original select group of people authorized by Rodney King, creator of the Crazy Monkey Defense (CMD) boxing system, to teach CMD. He is currently one of the four highest-level CMD trainers in the world. Cecil has worked with law enforcement officers, military special operations troops, and private citizens on the functional utilization of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, boxing, and clinch-fighting in close quarters combat.

Paul Carlson

Paul Carlson is the owner of Safety Solutions Academy and a Professional Defensive Shooting Instructor. With over a decade and a half of experience, he's dedicated himself to studying how individuals can perform more effectively in violent confrontations. Paul is a seasoned instructor, both in the classroom and on the range. Through Safety Solutions Academy, he offers Critical Defensive Skills courses across more than a dozen states annually. These courses cover a wide spectrum, from Concealed Carry Classes to Advanced Critical Defensive Handgun Courses, providing instruction on the defensive use of handguns, rifles, and shotguns. Safety Solutions Academy also regularly hosts renowned experts from the industry as guest instructors to ensure students receive quality training in various Critical Defensive disciplines.

Caleb Causey

Caleb Causey started his career riding out with Medstar ambulance services in Fort Worth, Texas as part of the Boy Scouts of America Explorer program at the age of 16. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic. Caleb has deployed to various locations in the Balkans where he has worked as a line medic with the 82nd Airborne and in the ER of the 212 MASH. He especially enjoyed his duty as an OPFOR Medic while stationed in Louisiana. After serving his country, Caleb joined the City of Benbrook Fire Department and served there as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT. Over the next several years Caleb was involved with the department's rescue dive team and worked as the Tactical Medic with local area SWAT team. Caleb also has worked with multiple Private Military/Security Companies. Caleb completed Paramedic school in College Station, Texas. This is where he attained his American Heart Association‚Äôs BLS Instructor, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications, Heartsaver Instructor, and Emergency Medical Services Instructor for the state of Texas. Caleb has proven to have a true passion for teaching medicine to people of all walks of life. Most of his classes are full of knowledge, experience, and laughter.

Mike Centola

Mike Centola, President and CEO of Allstar Tactical, has over a decade of experience in the firearms industry and a successful business background spanning almost 20 years. He's an NRA-certified instructor, Chief Range Safety Officer, and a technical consultant for various firearms companies. Mike also teaches at Monroe Community College in Mechanical Engineering Technologies.

Ken Crawford

Ken Crawford is the Range Manager and Senior Instructor at Reno Guns & Range, which has received Congressional recognition for being the most advanced indoor training and shooting facility in the northern Nevada region. He is an active Combat Focus® Shooting Instructor, FitShot Coach, and Defensive Firearms Coach, certified through I.C.E. Training. He also holds pistol instructor certifications through the NRA. Ken is part of the leadership team at Reno Guns & Range and helps develop and integrate training programs for youth, civilians, and armed professionals.

Grant Cunningham

Grant Cunningham is a renowned gunsmith, author and trainer noted for his expertise with the double-action revolver. His work on Colt, S&W, and Ruger revolvers has been featured in several national magazines. When he’s not building fine revolvers, Grant can be found on the range teaching proper handling and operation of the double-action wheelgun. Whether for sport or defense, Grant passes on to others the skill of shooting what he calls “the quintessential American firearms.” His engaging teaching style earns rave reviews from his students. Grant is the author of The Gun Digest Book of the Revolver, released in Fall 2011, and also writes a popular blog dealing with a wide range of self-defense and shooting topics. Michael Dasargo

Mike Dasargo is an ASIS Certified Protection Professional, Executive Protection Agent, and Corporate Security Advisor. He began training martial arts at a young age, and has a lifelong interest in the study of kinesiology, sport and combat psychology, and neurosciences related to stress and motor performance. His previous experiences — being raised in disadvantaged neighborhoods, and working as a bouncer, security driver, protection agent, and EMT/tactical medic — have provided additional depth to his understanding of personal defense training efficacy. Mike has been a trainer since 1996, and is an active Combat Focus Shooting Instructor and Association of Defensive Shooting Instructors member. He continues to teach martial arts and personal defense at Contact Kinetics, and Combat Focus Shooting at 10XDefense.

Craig Douglas

Craig Douglas is the founder of ShivWorks. Craig retired from law enforcement after 21 years of service, with most of his career spent in narcotics and SWAT. Since 2003, Craig provides instruction globally under the ShivWorks brand and has conducted coursework on entangled shooting skills in nearly 49 states, 9 foreign countries, Special operation units, all branches of the military, federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, and to three branches of the U.S. military, holds a small contract within the intel community organized under the DOD.

Don Edwards

Don Edwards is a 20+ year veteran of US Army Special Operations. He began his career in the 3rd Battalion of the 75th Ranger Regiment where he was a participant in Operation Just Cause in Panama. Retired from 20th Special Forces Group where he served as Team Sergeant during combat operations in Iraq and Intel Sergeant while deployed in Afghanistan. He served for five years as the Use of Force training manager and primary instructor at the ATF National Academy in Glynco, GA instructing in tactics and firearms as well. Mr. Edwards has worked as tactical adviser in the field to the Department of Defense since 2008 serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan and is a FLETC certified firearms instructor and is the former Director of Training and LE sales for Tactical Night Vision Company.

Todd Fossey

Todd Fossey is the Founder and Chief Instructor at Integrative Defense Strategies in Minneapolis. He is a regular contributor on Funker Tactical YouTube channel, member of the Personal Defense Network’s team, 2nd Amendment advocate and champion for the Citizen Defender. Todd is best known for his innovative, evidence-based and holistic approaches to integrating multiple disciplines into training and personal defense, specializing in extreme close quarters, weapons based combatives for armed Citizen Defenders with an emphasis in weapons defense, weapon takeaways, active shooter and terror response training. After training several years with the Israelis, Todd earned his earned is black belt in Krav Maga in 2017. Fossey continues his extensive MMA and submission grappling training under legendary MMA Coach (and Special Forces Instructor) Greg Nelson at the Minnesota Martial Arts Academy. Fossey is a (FSI) Certified Force Science Analyst and is actively involved with training force on force scenario, active shooter and SWAT training for various law enforcement agencies and departments. Todd has a 15-year background in psychophysiology offering him special insight into the psychological, physiological and perceptual effects of high-stress critical incidents and human performance. During the time of his formal education, Fossey worked as a bouncer and head of security where he was faced with many violent and life-threatening encounters.

Chris Fry

Chris Fry is the owner and director of training and curriculum development for Modern Defensive Training Systems in Utica, New York, where he conducts courses in reality-driven practical combatives, extreme close quarters physical defense, tactical folding knife, edged weapon combatives, and combative pistol, carbine and shotgun skills. Chris has been an active instructor with Progressive F.O.R.C.E. Concepts in Nevada since 2003, servicing law enforcement, military and select government agencies. Chris is a certified AR-15/M4/M16 and Glock armorer, a contributor to various online firearms resource websites, and a frequent presenter at national and international personal protection and small arms training conferences for both citizens and law enforcement. Travis Haley

Travis Haley is a veteran Force Reconnaissance Marine with 15 years of hands-on experience, including combat tours in the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia. Post-military service, he worked as a special operations and security contractor. He later co-founded Magpul's training division, Magpul Dynamics, and served as CEO of the parent company, Magpul Industries. Travis eventually went on to establish Haley Strategic Partners.

Marty Hayes

Marty Hayes is the President and co-founder of the Armed Citizens' Legal Defense Network, Inc. Following the success of The Firearms Academy of Seattle, Inc., a firearms training business, he saw the need to address post-shooting legal matters. In 2003, Marty decided to pursue a law degree, and upon graduating in 2007, he worked to structure the Network. With 30 years of experience as a professional firearms instructor and law enforcement officer, along with legal expertise as an expert witness, Marty provides leadership to the Network.

Jerah Hutchins
