CMMG Mk4 Rifle

CMMG Mk4 Review

Rob obtained this rifle two years ago and has had it in hard use ever since. The Mk4 has been through two Personal Defense Network Training Tours, as well as many other classes outside the Tour, so literally dozens of classes, plus Rob’s personal rifle training and practice.

More importantly, this rifle has been in the hands of many students who performed their own CMMG Mk4 review. It’s rare for a rifle training class with eight to 15 students to finish without at least one rifle having problems, sometimes problems that take the rifle out of the class. Occasionally a student shows up without a rifle because they don’t own one yet. In all instances, the CMMG Mk4 stepped up and performed solidly.

In some classes, students fired 1,200 to 1,500 rounds through the CMMG Mk4 over the course of two days. This means the CMMG Mk4 was used in different firing positions, firing many different types of ammunition, and by several different body types and shooting levels and experiences.

Minimal Maintenance

The CMMG Mk4 has barely been cleaned. Breakthrough Clean Lubricant has been applied regularly to keep it running and solvent has been run through it, but no other maintenance.
