Rob Pincus is strongly against having training standards in place for those who own and carry firearms. The government should not be creating more hurdles for us to jump through in order to own and carry defensive firearms. Another important reason is that whenever a bureaucratic entity becomes involved in setting training standards, it creates lowest-common-denominator standards. These result in false confidence on the part of firearms owners who “pass” these weak standards.
